Privacy Policy
Who we are
Marveltour is an Istanbul-based incoming travel agency working exclusively with the travel trade. For the purposes of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Marveltour is the data controller, at Ecza Sokak No:6, Safter İş Merkezi, K:3 D:10, Esentepe, 34394 Şişli, Istanbul, Türkiye.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It does not cover the data our partners collect from their own guests, which remains their responsibility as controllers.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry we collect your name, company, market or country, area of interest and the content of your message, together with your email address and any other contact details you choose to provide.
- Information collected automatically. Standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page and the pages you visit, gathered through cookies and similar technologies. Our Cookie Policy explains this in detail.
We do not ask for special categories of personal data and we do not want them. Please do not send passport scans, health information or guest lists through this website.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and to work with you. Our legitimate interests, and, where a working relationship follows, performance of a contract.
- To keep the website secure and working. Our legitimate interests.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations. Legal obligation.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.
Who sees it
Enquiries reach our own team in Istanbul. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf: our website platform, our email provider and our analytics provider. They act on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes. We disclose data to public authorities only where the law requires it.
International transfers
Our website and some of our service providers are hosted outside Türkiye, so personal data submitted through this site may be transferred abroad. Where that happens we rely on standard contractual clauses notified to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority, and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, on the transfer mechanisms permitted under GDPR.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are deleted within two years. Records connected to a commercial relationship are kept for ten years, the period Turkish commercial and tax law requires, and then deleted.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of KVKK and, where it applies, under GDPR, you may ask whether we hold data about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, and ask us to explain any automated processing. We do not make automated decisions about anyone.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@marveltour.com.tr. We answer within thirty days, as KVKK requires. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority, or to your local supervisory authority in the European Economic Area.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows the current version.
