DAY 1

Arrive to Izmir airport by flight in the morning and drive to Pergamon, modern Bergama.

We will visit Pergamon Acropolis archaeological site. The Altar of Zeus and the Library of Pergamon next to the Temple of Athena were the main structures of the town. The Romans added the Temple of Trajan.
We will also visit so called the Red Courtyard, which was the Temple of Isis and Serapis. A church was built in the middle of the temple in Christian era and was dedicated to St John.
Then we will drive to Thyatira, modern Akhisar and visit the Basilica there.
There are the promises of morning star and authority over the nations for those who overcome in the letter written to the angel of the church in Thyatira.
Drive to Smyrna, modern Izmir.
We will have dinner in the hotel.

DAY 2

After breakfast in the hotel, we will visit the Agora of the ancient Smyrna, modern Izmir. We will talk on the last Apostolic Father Polycarp. He was a pupil of St John and was persecuted under Roman rule.
There is the promise of crown of life for those who overcome in the letter written to the angel of the church in Smyrna.
Then drive to Sardes, modern Sart village nearby Salihli. We will visit Sardes archaeological site includes 2000 years old synagogue.
According to the letter written to the angel of the church in Sardes, those who have not soiled their clothes they will walk with Him dressed in white, for they are worthy. He will never blot out their name from the Book of Life.
Then we will drive to Philadelphia, modern Alasehir. We will visit the Basilica of St John.
There is the promise of the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven in the letter written to the angel of the church in Philadelphia From the city of brotherly love, we will drive to Pamukkale.
We will have dinner in the hotel.

DAY 3

After breakfast in the hotel visit Hierapolis ancient site, today called Pamukkale. According to the letter to the Colossians, Epaphras from Colossae was working hard for those in Hierapolis, Colossae and Laodicea.
This site is a natural preservation park as well as an archaeological site. The theatre, the fountain, the Roman baths, the Martyrdom of St Philip, town gates and necropolis are visible structures of the site. Above all paddling in the lukewarm waters of the white calcareous masses is a unique experience.
Then there is a short drive to Laodicea.
There is the promise of sitting with Him on His throne in the letter written to the angel of the church in Laodicea.
We will visit the archaeological site of Laodicea. The main street with the Roman baths, the fountain and a bit apart, the theatre, the stadium and the water tower are important features of the town. Especially the church doorframe is well preserved. It reminds the exclamation of Him in the letter: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.”
Then drive to Kusadasi.
We will have dinner in the hotel.

DAY 4

After breakfast in the hotel, we will have a short drive to Ephesus, modern Selcuk.
There is the promise of eating from the Tree of Life for those who overcome in the letter written to the angel of the church in Ephesus.
We will visit Ephesus archaeological site and walk in the marble streets all the way to see the odeon, the Temple of Domitian, the Temple of Hadrian, the Celsus Library, the agora and the theatre. 2000 years ago, crowds led by Demetrius the silversmith marched in the streets, finally assembled in the theatre, and shouted for about two hours: “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians.”
We will visit the Church of St John in the Castle of St John that was built in 6th century A.D.
In addition, we (optionally) visit the House of Mother Mary. It is believed to be the house of mother of Jesus.
We drive to Izmir airport for an evening flight to leave the region of the seven lampstands.
